Wheaton College students (Wheaton, Ill.) were named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester.

A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The Iowa State University College of Design Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for at least 12 credit hours of course work.

The Iowa State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean's List honors students who were enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and earned a 3.5 grade point average or higher for the term.

More than 5,700 students at the University of Iowa were named to the UI's Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the Tippie College of Business who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or higher on 12 semester hours or more of UI graded course work during a given semester or summer session and who have no semester hours of "I" (incomplete) or "O" (no grade reported) during the same semester are recognized by inclusion on the Dean's List for that semester. Undergraduate students in the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine may qualify for the Dean's List with fewer than 12 semester hours of graded credit if deemed appropriate by the college. College of Nursing students participating in clinical courses must have a total of 12 semester hours of earned credit, with eight semester hours of graded credit with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Coastal Carolina University graduates are exactly what the world needs, according to commencement speaker and doctoral candidate Leigha Peterson. Peterson addressed the graduating class of 2019 - more than 1,200 students - during three separate commencement ceremonies at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center May 10-11. "Whatever you are, put it out there," she said, "because it is better than good enough. It is exactly what the world needs!"

Eight Coastal Carolina University students have been named the Wall Fellows Class of 2019. Coastal Carolina University's Wall Fellows Program is a two-year program that prepares top students across all majors for high-level careers in major U.S. and international organizations. The highly selective leadership development program is designed to supplement students' regular academic coursework. Along with coursework, the Wall Fellows program also consists of a combination of individual reading and studying, developing a personal mission statement and resume, professional internships, leadership training, project execution and character-building opportunities.

The Event Management Club, an organization for students to learn and explore more about the field of event management, has elected its leadership for the 2018-19 academic year.

More than 160 upper class students will be serving as Peer Mentors in the more than 20 Iowa State University Learning Communities with ties to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) for the 2018-2019 academic year. Mentors help new students in the college make the transition to life at Iowa State. These selected Peer Mentors are often involved with organizing study groups, social events, and out-of-class activities. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's 300-member Cornhusker Marching Band makes its 2018 debut Sept. 1 at Memorial Stadium with pregame and halftime performances at Nebraska's football season opener against Akron.
